Research Title:Implementation Research to Inform Design of Equitable Telehealth Models in Lagos State

Researchers and Affiliations: This study is led by Dr. Emmanuella Zamba, Dr. Oluwafunmike Ogwa, and Oluwaleke Jegede. It is conducted by LASHMA, VillageReach, and SCIDaR for the Lagos State Government.

Sponsor: The research is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF).

Purpose of the Study: We are exploring ways to use technology to make healthcare more affordable and accessible in Lagos State, especially for women, girls, and others with limited access to healthcare.

What You’ll Do: You may be asked to provide information through interviews or by sharing routine data. This helps us identify and implement improvements to telehealth services.

Time Commitment: Participation will take no more than 2 hours per session.

Risks and Costs: There is no risk or cost to you beyond your time. Participation will not impact your healthcare access.

Benefits: While there’s no direct benefit to you, this research aims to improve healthcare access in Lagos State.

Confidentiality: Your privacy is a top priority. We will protect your information and ensure it is stored securely. Only the research team will access your data. We reserve the right to contact you using your submitted phone number regarding this study or related updates.

Voluntary Participation: Participation is entirely voluntary. You can withdraw at any time without needing to explain.

Alternatives to Participation: If you choose not to participate, this will not affect your access to healthcare services or treatment in any way.

Compensation: You will be compensated for any lost wages or transport costs, but not for your participation.

What Happens After: You will be informed about the study’s results. If the research leads to new healthcare solutions, the Lagos State Government will own them.
